You get 6 goes at working out what 5 letter word they have set. A nice game to play with the morning coffee.
Here is my puzzle this morning:
My first word, or starter word, ARISE matched no letters in today’s puzzzle, so I followed with my second starter word, MOUND or MOUNT. The ‘O’ and the ‘T’ are letters in the word of the day and they are in the right position. The ‘U’ and ‘N’ belong in the word but are not in the right position.
After trying some variants like NOXNT (X standing for the unknown letter) I just flipped the ‘U’ and ‘N’ to get “XONUT” giving a good idea of the word.
