US man has 27 Solar panels and still pays USD 8000 a year for energy and a rate of $0.47 per unit

Interesting video about a guy who paid $30,000 for 27 solar panels expecting to save money.

There is a fixed charge of ~$500 a month which seems exceptionally high. Also, the difference between peak $0.47 per unit and off-peak $0.43 per unit.

The complaint is not totally honest because his energy costs include gas for heating.

The situation demonstrates that the utility company changes the rules whenever they want to increase their profits.

I would love a battery plus two wind generators to add to the battery overnight—there is good, reliable wind here.

Why not when you sell some energy back to the electricity retailer you don’t get much, $0.89 better to keep and replace retailers energy from the battery.
