Ukraine said it came under biggest drone attack so far
Russia launched almost 500 drones and missiles at Ukraine,
the largest drone barrage since the war began more than three years ago, Ukrainian forces said yesterday.
Ukraine’s air defenses shot down most of the weapons. There were no reports of major damage and only one person was killed. Russia has dramatically increased the pace of such attacks as peace talks have stalled.
Russia and Ukraine also said yesterday that a prisoner exchange was underway. President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine said that a swap of “the wounded, the severely wounded, and those under the age of 25” had begun and would continue over the coming days.
In Crimea, Russian visitors still go
to the beach, hoping to avoid Ukrainian drone attacks.
