Was good, good food, family, some good local friends. They LOVED the smoked ribs I made, asked if I had used a rub—good pick, I had!
All quiet and sedate—youngest member there was 59 but good, real conversation, music in the background.
Apparently I am hosting Chrissy lunch this year. Fine!
Sis and bil coming back soon, bringing the rest of my paintings/prints etc and probably finish the kitchen. OK.

I am going to repack all the antiques I have on display in the lounge and collapse the shelving units then apply primer to all the walls. Might try sugar soaping the ceiling then paint that with primer.
In the kitchen I want the rangehood installed before the plastering—that is real, the rest is cosmetics.
When the painting of the lounge is all done I will engage this mob in Launceston who will sand the lounge room floor and polish it or varnish it whatever.
Looking at Ikea website for bookcases I saw a version of the “Billy” bookcase that had glass doors. Brilliant for displaying antiques and protecting them from wagging dog tails!
Not sure it will fit in the lounge but it can go in the study.
