Then a local yokel to access my mail at the PO
If you have a po box you can leave a spare key to the box with a neighbour or friend and they can collect your mail whenever you need them to. No need for forms or paperwork giving someone access. Since you have no street delivery you're entitled to a reduced rate box which will only cost you about $50 a year. It might also be worth your while to download the AP app. With it you can authorise anyone to collect your parcels at any time as long as they have a mobile phone. Not yet. Don’t really need it, I collect mail from the PO anyway—mail is not delivered. But a PO box might be useful, could leave the spare key to the house in it. PO recently got a heap of post boxes so no problem with availability.
One thing weighing on my mind: Socks! Nightmares about Socks slowly dying of starvation in my house while I am in hospital!
I've got a wall full of Ikea Billy bookshelves. They work great, are easy to move around when i need to and you can change them up with doors (both solid and glass), lights etc if you want to. Mine are stacked full of books and they hold the weight no problems.Heh, looking for bookcases. Need ones that can hold BOOKS, kilos weight of books! Not a few ornaments.
Think Ikea has the best one. Looking forward to the assembly, not.
I have an 'extension' or 'topper' on the top of my billies which increases the height and gives you an extra shelf. The added bonus is that with my ceiling height, the topper only just fits and I have no chance of the shelf tipping.Could put antiques etc in the top shelf rather than books further increasing the stability of the shelves.
